Weekly Recap #79: Week of 11/18 -11/24
It’s time for another weekly recap post of all things happening on and off the blog. This week I’ll be linking to the Sunday Post, which is hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer and to Stacking the Shelves, which is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
I hope everyone who was celebrating this week had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was great, very busy, but it was still nice to spend some time with my mom and sister since I hadn’t seen them much lately. Great food, great company made for a lovely way to spend the day.
I also got up on Friday with the intention of hitting some of the online Black Friday events, but got bored after after 20 minutes, and ended up watching Hallmark Christmas movies all day instead. Oops.
I went into the long weekend with plans to get lots of reading done, but that didn’t happen either because…Christmas decorations! I think this is the earliest I’ve ever decorated but I just felt like I had to take advantage of having those few extra days off to to tick something major off my to-do list. On the reading front, I did have a pretty decent week overall. I managed to finish The Winter of the Witch, which was a gorgeous 5 star read for me, Tell Me Three Things, another backlist book that has been on my TBR forever, and I finally started Muse of Nightmares but haven’t gotten too far yet.
For the coming week, my goal is to get back on track with my Instagram account. I had been doing pretty well posting a few times a week but let that slide after my NYC trip and have just been too busy to take the kind of photos I like to take ever since. Now that my Christmas decorations are out, I’m feeling inspired though. 🙂
Anyway I think that’s it for me. I hope everyone has a great week!

Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. Hallmark Christmas movies bingeing sounds great to me. I took out a few Christmas decorations also, knick knacks and small things here and there but nothing else yet. Enjoy your weekend and your books. That born to read forced to work is so true lol
I enjoyed binge watching the Hallmark movies way more than I was expecting to, lol.
I was going to pick up Tell Me Three Things. I hope you enjoyed it. I want to read Muse of Nightmares. I hope you have a great week!

Hahahaha Suzanne I live your “book humor” of the day LOL Well I only bought one book on Black Friday so I am proud! I resisted!!! Enjoy your week and good luck with IG 😉
Thanks!
I didn’t do a lot of Black Friday shopping this year either.

Glad I’m not the only one!
You made the right decision. Watching Hallmark movies is always a good decision.

I quite enjoyed myself that day, lol.
Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We avoided the stores on Black Friday, although we did venture out on Saturday and it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I think we’ll start decorating for Christmas next weekend!

It poured rain here on Saturday so we stayed in that day too, lol I did finally do a little online shopping today though.
Keeping up with Instagram is so difficult. Taking good photos is time consuming. I’m glad you had a good Thanksgiving and got your decorations up. Enjoy your new book! Have a great week!

It really is time consuming and now with the days getting shorter, there’s less natural light to work with, which kind of sucks. Oh well, I’ll figure it out.
Tell Me three Things- love that cover. Waffles. 🙂
Glad you had a nice Thanskgiving. Watching movies sounds pretty good! We’ve been decorating over here too.

Yes! I’m all about the waffles on that cover, lol.
I’m terrible at shopping online, especially when it comes to finding deals. I just don’t know where to start! I’m watching Hallmark right now and the tree goes up tomorrow!

Yay for watching Hallmark movies!
Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Watching Christmas movies sounds like a nice relaxing time. We also decorated, I’m happy it’s done but I’m sure in a couple weeks I’ll be ready to take everything down (of course I won’t). I enjoyed Tell Me Three Things, I’m curious to read what you thought of it. Have a lovely week and good luck with those IG photos.
Watching Christmas movies and decorating was really nice for getting me into the holiday spirit. I hope I don’t get tired of my decorations too soon, but I know what you mean, lol.
YAY for a happy thanksgiving AND Hallmark Christmas movies! LOL! That’s a wonderful way to spend your day! I look forward to all your new instagram photos!

I have to admit, I thoroughly enjoyed those Hallmark movies. So much so that I DVR’ed a whole new batch to watch this week, lol.
I think Hallmark Christmas movies are a valid way to spend a Black Friday. Way better than going out to stores, that’s for sure. 🙂

Right? I can’t stand going out in all of that Black Friday chaos.
Seems like a lot of us started decorating this weekend! As for Black Friday, the whole idea gives me shudders. I used to work in bookstores, and the two days I dreaded most were Black Friday and Christmas Eve. It was like a zoo, and totally exhausting. Now I do most of my Christmas shopping online, to be honest. That way, I avoid the crowds (and my feet and back don’t hurt, which is a bonus.)

I do most of my shopping online as well. It’s much less stressful that way.
