Top Ten Tuesday – Books That Feature Umbrellas on their Covers

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!

This week’s TTT topic is Books with [___] On the Cover (Pick a thing (a color, an item, a place, an animal, a scripty font, a sexy person, etc.) and share covers that have that thing on the cover).  I have no idea why, but the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this topic was UMBRELLAS (maybe it’s hearing the expression April showers bring May flowers so much lately, lol).  Whatever the reason, that’s what I’m sharing this week. 🙂

I definitely thought of Weather Girl when I saw you’d picked covers with umbrellas for this prompt! I didn’t realize how commonly featured they are on book covers. I think there’s one on the cover of Meg Cabot’s No Judgments, too!

I love this! I actually have two paintings in my house that feature red umbrellas, so this reminds me of them. The cover of A Hundred Summers has always been one of my favorites, I love how it looks like a vintage postcard!

It really is! At first I thought I wouldn’t be able to find ten but ended up finding way more and had to narrow down the selection.

Great choice. I read No Words (Little Bridge Island #3) by Meg Cabot, Mr. Mercedes (Bill Hodges Trilogy, #1) by Stephen King and several books from the Miss Seeton cozy mystery series that all have umbrellas on the cover.

Ooh, fun choice! I definitely would’ve struggled with this topic. Only one other book immediately comes to mind (aside from Weather Girl) and it’s Nevermoor (MG fantasy)! 😂 All of these are such pretty covers though!

I saw someone else do umbrella covers today. You two only had maybe one match. I didn’t realize how many umbrella covers there were. I love the ones you chose, especially Weather Girl and A Hundred Summers.

This is such a fun way to share books! I’d have a hard time remembering more than the colour of a book cover so I think you did a great job with this! 🙂

Hope that you are having a good week! It’s a rainy one here!

What an interesting element. Now I am wondering how many books I read with Umbrellas on the cover. I read two from your list, but there may be more.

I don’t think I’ve read any books with umbrellas on the cover, at least not that I can remember off the top of my head!
