Top Ten Tuesday – I’ve Got Your Number: 10 Books with “Number” in the Title

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!

This week’s TTT topic is supposed to be Books With Numbers In the Title.  I’ve already done at least one post like that, possibly more, so I decided to tweak it a bit and hunt for some books who actually have the word “Number” in them.  Harder than I thought it would be but I finally did manage to find ten of them.

10 Books with “Number” in the Title

1. I’VE GOT YOUR NUMBER by Sophie Kinsella

2.  NUMBER ONE CHINESE RESTAURANT by Lillian Li

3.  NUMBER NEIGHBORS by Emma Hart

4.  MR. WRONG NUMBER by Lynn Painter

5. IMAGINARY NUMBERS by Seanan McGuire

6. ORPHAN NUMBER EIGHT by Kim van Alkemade

7.  LUCKY NUMBER ELEVEN by Adriana Locke

8.  GIRL NUMBER ONE by Jane Holland

9. NUMBER THE STARS by Lois Lowry

10. OUR ENDLESS NUMBERED DAYS by Claire Fuller

Question:  Have you read any of these? Can you think of any other title with the word “number” in them?

You picked Number One Chinese Restaurant lol. I did too. That’s a nice pick if I do say so myself ha ha. I like the Mcguire and Girl Number One too- that tagline makes it sound intense.

I’ve not read any of these! I can’t think of any book titles with “number” in them off the top of my head, but I can think of a film: What’s Your Number, it’s a cute rom-com with Anna Faris and Chris Evans.

What a clever twist on the theme! And those are great choices. I wish I could suggest any additions, but despite my huge Goodreads list of books read and books to read, apparently I have only read one book with “number” in the title… and it was a nonfiction book I read for work. Clearly, I need to remedy this problem!

I stuck with the straightforward interpretation for my list. Or, erm, lists — since I’m rubbish at limiting myself to a measly ten titles.

Interesting twist! I would definitely not have been able to find 10 books with the word “number” in the title, at least not amongst books I’ve read or plan to read. There were two on my list today, though, one of which is Number the Stars.

You came up with some fun choices this week! Sadly, the only one I’ve read is Number the Stars. But several others are being added to my TBR list as soon as I finish typing this comment. 😀

Oh, fun! I like the way you did that. I considered Number too, but didn’t have enough books on the read-shelf. I loved I’ve Got Your Number. Number Neighbors was fun too. I am dying to get my hands on Mr. Wrong Number. I loved Painter’s debut.

Love the twist you’ve done with this prompt! I would’ve definitely struggled big time! 😂 I just added Lucky Number Eleven to my Kindle library and I’m looking forward to checking it out. Have you read it?

This is a very clever take on the TTT, and I am impressed you found 10 titles with the word “Number” in them!
