Top Ten Tuesday – I’ve Got Your Number: 10 Books with “Number” in the Title
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!
This week’s TTT topic is supposed to be Books With Numbers In the Title. I’ve already done at least one post like that, possibly more, so I decided to tweak it a bit and hunt for some books who actually have the word “Number” in them. Harder than I thought it would be but I finally did manage to find ten of them.
10 Books with “Number” in the Title
1. I’VE GOT YOUR NUMBER by Sophie Kinsella
2. NUMBER ONE CHINESE RESTAURANT by Lillian Li
3. NUMBER NEIGHBORS by Emma Hart
4. MR. WRONG NUMBER by Lynn Painter
5. IMAGINARY NUMBERS by Seanan McGuire
6. ORPHAN NUMBER EIGHT by Kim van Alkemade
7. LUCKY NUMBER ELEVEN by Adriana Locke
8. GIRL NUMBER ONE by Jane Holland
9. NUMBER THE STARS by Lois Lowry
10. OUR ENDLESS NUMBERED DAYS by Claire Fuller
* * * * * *
I’ve heard good things about Orphan Number Eight.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Thanks for stopping by!
A great list! Mr. Wrong Number sounds like such a fun read.
When you get the time, I hope you can stop by and read my post: https://readbakecreate.com/books-counting-down-from-ten/
Thanks for stopping by!
Wow, you managed to find a lot of great ones!
Thanks!
You picked Number One Chinese Restaurant lol. I did too. That’s a nice pick if I do say so myself ha ha. I like the Mcguire and Girl Number One too- that tagline makes it sound intense.
I had to chuckle when I saw it on your list. I think we’re the only two who picked that book, lol.
I actually thought about doing this too, but ultimately I went the other route. But great idea, and this word actually seems like it would be hard to find!
Yeah, I didn’t see nearly as many as I thought I would.
I loved Number the Stars. Haven’t thought about that book in years.
Me neither. It’s a pretty powerful read.
I haven’t read any of these, and if Goodreads is to be believed, I have never read a book with number in the title. This seems so odd!
My list is here— https://fiftytwo.blog/2021/09/14/ttt-ten-books-with-numbers-in-the-title/
Happy TTT!
I could only find a few on my GR list too. Surprised me because I was sure I had read dozens.
Clever twist on the topic! I haven’t read any of these but I’ve been meaning to read something by Adriana Locke for ages!
Thanks!
I’ve not read any of these! I can’t think of any book titles with “number” in them off the top of my head, but I can think of a film: What’s Your Number, it’s a cute rom-com with Anna Faris and Chris Evans.
That’s funny because I kept thinking of films and song titles while I was looking for books.
What a clever twist on the theme! And those are great choices. I wish I could suggest any additions, but despite my huge Goodreads list of books read and books to read, apparently I have only read one book with “number” in the title… and it was a nonfiction book I read for work. Clearly, I need to remedy this problem!
I stuck with the straightforward interpretation for my list. Or, erm, lists — since I’m rubbish at limiting myself to a measly ten titles.
Thanks! 🙂
Interesting twist! I would definitely not have been able to find 10 books with the word “number” in the title, at least not amongst books I’ve read or plan to read. There were two on my list today, though, one of which is Number the Stars.
My TTT
Thanks for stopping by!
You came up with some fun choices this week! Sadly, the only one I’ve read is Number the Stars. But several others are being added to my TBR list as soon as I finish typing this comment. 😀
Thanks!
They are all new to me but and it is interesting to see how we all came up with different books.
I noticed that too. I didn’t see many repeats at all as I was blog hopping.
Nice twist! I’ve read NUMBER THE STARS, but that’s it from this list. ORPHAN NUMBER EIGHT is on my TBR.
Happy TTT!

Thanks!
Oh, fun! I like the way you did that. I considered Number too, but didn’t have enough books on the read-shelf. I loved I’ve Got Your Number. Number Neighbors was fun too. I am dying to get my hands on Mr. Wrong Number. I loved Painter’s debut.
I’m really excited for Painter’s new book too. So much so that it’s my CWW pick this week too. Painter week on the blog, lol.
Love the twist you’ve done with this prompt! I would’ve definitely struggled big time! 😂 I just added Lucky Number Eleven to my Kindle library and I’m looking forward to checking it out. Have you read it?
Thanks! No, I actually haven’t read that one that. It’s on my TBR though.
This is a very clever take on the TTT, and I am impressed you found 10 titles with the word “Number” in them!
Thank you!
Nice twist! I almost Number of Love on my list, then decided to just stick with actual numbers.
Thanks!
I don’t know how you did it Suzanne. I just had no book or certainly not ten books for this week’s topic. Well done!
Thanks!
Great twist on the topic, Suzanne! I haven’t read any of these but several are on my wish list.
Thanks!
