Can’t Wait Wednesday – THE INTIMACY EXPERIMENT by Rosie Danan
“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, which encourages fellow bloggers to spotlight upcoming releases that we’re excited about. It is a meme that I have loved participating in for over a year now, but as Jill is no longer actively posting, from now on I’ll be linking to Can’t Wait Wednesday, hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings, which is a spinoff of the original WoW meme.

My selection for this week is THE INTIMACY EXPERIMENT by Rosie Danan. Danan’s last book, The Roommate, was such a delightful and unique read that I’m very much looking forward to The Intimacy Experiment, which is a companion book for the first and focuses on one of my favorite characters from that first book, Naomi Grant, a smart and sassy adult film actress who really stole the spotlight in every scene she was in throughout The Roommate.
THE INTIMACY EXPERIMENT by Rosie Danan
Publication Date: April 6, 2021 by Berkley Books
From Goodreads:
Naomi and Ethan will test the boundaries of love in this provocative romance from the author of the ground-breaking debut, The Roommate.
Naomi Grant has built her life around going against the grain. After the sex-positive start-up she cofounded becomes an international sensation, she wants to extend her educational platform to live lecturing. Unfortunately, despite her long list of qualifications, higher ed won’t hire her.
Ethan Cohen has recently received two honors: LA Mag named him one of the city’s hottest bachelors and he became rabbi of his own synagogue. Taking a gamble in an effort to attract more millennials to the faith, the executive board hired Ethan because of his nontraditional background. Unfortunately, his shul is low on both funds and congregants. The board gives him three months to turn things around or else they’ll close the doors of his synagogue for good.
Naomi and Ethan join forces to host a buzzy seminar series on Modern Intimacy, the perfect solution to their problems–until they discover a new one–their growing attraction to each other. They’ve built the syllabus for love’s latest experiment, but neither of them expected they’d be the ones putting it to the test.

This sounds like so much fun, and a sweet read!
I think so too. 🙂
These sound like some great, unique characters!
Yeah, definitely not a popular you often see represented in rom coms.
I love the backdrop to this one – it’s all about garnering more of an audience and trying to harness the interest of the millennials who don’t access the world in the ways their parents did… I love the idea of using the current preoccupations within the parameters of the romance – thank you for sharing, Suzanne:))
I love it too. 🙂
Naomi was such an interesting character and I cannot wait to get to know her better
Same! I loved how smart and snarky she was in the first book.
This sounds so unique! I love the synagogue angle, and I’m so curious to see how she blends all those elements together😁
