Can’t Wait Wednesday – THE QUEEN OF NOTHING by Holly Black
“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, which encourages fellow bloggers to spotlight upcoming releases that we’re excited about. It is a meme that I have loved participating in for over a year now, but as Jill is no longer actively posting, from now on I’ll just be linking to Can’t Wait Wednesday, hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings, which is a spinoff of the original WoW meme.

My selection for this week is THE QUEEN OF NOTHING by Holly Black. I know I’m probably the last person on the planet to get to it, but I just finally read the second book in The Folk of the Air series and after that ending, I really need to get the series finale in my hands.
THE QUEEN OF NOTHING by Holly Black
Publication Date: November 19, 2019
From Goodreads:
He will be destruction of the crown and the ruination of the throne.
Power is much easier to acquire than it is to hold onto. Jude learned this lesson when she released her control over the wicked king, Cardan, in exchange for immeasurable power.
Now as the exiled mortal Queen of Faerie, Jude is powerless and left reeling from Cardan’s betrayal. She bides her time determined to reclaim everything he took from her. Opportunity arrives in the form of her deceptive twin sister, Taryn, whose mortal life is in peril.
Jude must risk venturing back into the treacherous Faerie Court, and confront her lingering feelings for Cardan, if she wishes to save her sister. But Elfhame is not as she left it. War is brewing. As Jude slips deep within enemy lines she becomes ensnared in the conflict’s bloody politics.
And, when a dormant yet powerful curse is unleashed, panic spreads throughout the land, forcing her to choose between her ambition and her humanity…
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author Holly Black, comes the highly anticipated and jaw-dropping finale to The Folk of the Air trilogy.

The series has exceeded my expectations too. Can’t wait to see how it ends!
I still haven’t gotten through the first book, so you’re not the last person, lol! I do love the covers in this series, though!
I love the covers too, especially this one.
I’m super excited for this too. And the best part is, I have no idea how she’s going to wrap up this series!

Right? I can’t even begin to guess at this point.
I don’t read much fantasy, but this is one series I definitely am eying up!
It’s a good one so far!
I read almost no fantasy but this series definitely sucked me right in. And after the way The Wicked King ended, we need The Queen of Nothing soon!

Right? I did not see that ending coming at all!
This sure sounds amazing! I will have to check out the rest of the series.

If you do, I hope you enjoy it!
I still need to read the second one, and an accompanying novella, but I will want this one too. But WHY does there have to be a snake on it?
LOL! I’ve been trying to ignore the snake.
I’m so excited about this release, I think it’s definitely my most anticipated release this year (and I’m so happy she moved up the release to this year still)

Same here. I definitely don’t want to wait until 2020 to see how it ends!
I still need to read the first book but have heard nothing but good things about the series. Hope you love this one too!

It’s a series that definitely lives up to the hype so far.
Oh no Suzanne, you’re definitely not the last. I haven’t started the series as yet but do have a copy of the first book. I really need to get started on this series or else Twitter will probably spoil me for the finale, as usual. Great choice this week Suzanne and thanks for the reminder on such great reads!

Oh yes, it’s hard to avoid spoilers. I was surprised I wasn’t spoiled considering how long I waited to read the second book.
Oh my! I really need to get caught up on this author! I think this sounds fantastic and I hope it is a series that we both love. 🙂

I definitely need to read a Holly Black book. I know I’m missing out on this series!
I need to read more of her books for sure. This is the only series of hers I’ve tried and it’s amazing!
I’m really looking forward to this one as well, especially as I have the first two books on my shelves and this one pre-ordered. I hope we both enjoy it!

Thanks, I hope so too!
I’ve been saying I need/want to read these books since the release of The Cruel Prince but with the release of the final novel around the corner I really DO need to get a move on and read them. At least it’s not long to wait on the conclusion now!
Nope, just a few more months!
I just added this book to my pre-order giveaway list to go up tomorrow, so make sure you check it out if you’re going to pre-order (the deal is only for indie bookstores).
