Top Ten Tuesday – The Ten Most Recent Additions to My To-Read List
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!
This week’s TTT topic is The Ten Most Recent Additions to My To-Read List. I keep saying that my goal is to read more of the books I already own, but it’s hard to stick to that when my fellow bloggers are always reviewing books that sound so good. In looking at this list of ten newest additions to my TBR, about half of them were added specifically because of fabulous blog reviews I’ve recently read. Really, it’s win-win though because the way I see it, as I continue to move through my backlist, it just means I’ll have plenty of quality reads still ahead of me. 🙂

What are some recent books you’ve added to your TBR? Do we share any?
Ugh yes my TBR is ever growing too! The cover of Dear Mrs. Bird makes me curious. Great list!
Right? I love that cover.
I have Dear Mrs. Bird in my stacks, too!
I’ve read several great reviews for it so hopefully we’ll both love it.
I have removed over twenty books from my Goodreads TBR and I still have about 300 titles there. I try to be more moderate when adding new titles, but it’s hard.
I think mine has at least double that number, lol.
Yay for Dear Mrs. Bird! Sherwood is one that’s on my list, too.
That one made my list because of your review. 🙂
Great list, I see some books on here I’m excited to read, like Finding Dorothy and The Starless Sea. Polaris Rising is a must read😁
Polaris Rising is on my list because of your review! 🙂
Nice list! I LOVED ASHES IN THE SNOW (although it had a different title when I read it …), but found NO EXIT disappointing. It was too violent and gory — too much bloody thriller, not enough psychological thriller for me. I haven’t read the others, but I’m very interested in THE THINGS WE CANNOT SAY and SHERWOOD.
Happy TTT!

Sorry to hear No Exit wasn’t a good read for you.
Ashes in The Snow is one of my favourite books, I read it under its original title, Between Shades of Gray and loved it.
I’m glad to hear it’s a great read. 🙂
I’m really curious about No Exit, and I’ve been wanting to read Between Shades of Gray (or Ashes in the Snow) for awhile now!!

I’m excited for No Exit too, especially after reading Greg’s review for it.
Sherwood is on my TBR! I can’t wait for it to come out 🙂
I still need to read the first book in the series but couldn’t resist adding Sherwood because I love all things Robin Hood.
I’m excited for Storm and Fury. The Dark Elements was such a fun series and it’ll be great to get Zayne’s story. The guy needs a happy ending. LOL
Hopefully it will be a great read for both of us!
Dear Mrs. Bird and No Exit are two I’m really hoping to have a chance to read! These all look great, I hope you get to read them all! 🙂
Thanks, I hope so too.
Storm and Fury has been added months ago too Suzanne!
It sounds so good!
No Exit was awesome! Hope you enjoy it. And Polaris rising I can’t WAIT to read!
No Exit made my list because of your review! 🙂
Storm and Fury sounds awesome! Can’t wait to fall back into that world.
The Starless Sea is an awesome title… I need to check out the book!
I love that title too and I’m so excited that Erin Morganstern finally has another book coming out. I loved The Night Circus so much.
Dear Mrs. Bird looked interesting to me. I enjoy reading books set in WWII, since that war plays a big role in my family history.
Angela’s review has me eager to try Dear Mrs. Bird, especially since I like to read WWII stories as well.
I hear nothing but good things about Finding Dorothy so hopefully you will enjoy it.
Thanks, I hope so too!
Of course I love this list! I hope we both love Finding Dorothy and the new Rimmer (LOVED her last one). Also really interested in Queenie, and I bought, but haven’t read, No Exit from BOTM. I hope you love all of these, Suzanne!
Thanks Jen. I hope so too! 🙂
Isn’t it great? We all blog about books we love or are excited for, then we get more recs for more great books from each other, and the cycle never ends lol. I hope you enjoy these!
Haha, right? It’s my kind of vicious cycle. 🙂
Mrs Bird! I get so gleeful when I see that title on lists bc I hope so much you enjoy it, because it made me smile and jsut wanted to share the joy lol And yes, I cannot WAIT to read Queenie!
Reviews from you and Angela are what made me add Mrs. Bird to my TBR. 🙂
This is a great list. I am off to learn more about Dear Mrs. Bird and I love Ashes in the Snow on audio.
I might have to try Ashes in the Snow on audio. I read Salt to the Sea that way and really loved it.
No Exit is SO good!! Enjoy!
I hope I do! 🙂
