Top Ten Tuesday – Books I Meant to Read in 2023 but Didn’t Get To
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!
This week’s TTT topic is Books I Meant to Read In 2023 but Didn’t Get To. This topic actually made me chuckle when I saw it because I actually have a list of 50-60 books I meant to read last year but couldn’t fit in. The ones I’m sharing today are books that I’m most hoping to get to sometime in the next few months.

Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
I know what you mean, my actual list is much longer than ten books! Good luck, Suzanne!
I read Home Front a while back – Hannah’s books generally deliver, so I hope you enjoy that one!
I just read Divine Rivals last week although I’d planned to read it last year but I’m so glad I finally picked it up cos it was AMAZING 😍 I hope you love all of these books!
I’m currently listening to the audiobook of BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS AND SNAKES. I really like it. I’m almost halfway through. I hope you like it when you finally get to it.

Oh, I forgot all about The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. I want to read that as well. Great list! Here are is mine: https://thestorysanctuary.com/top-ten-tuesday-books-still-on-my-tbr-after-2023/
I can totally relate to having a lot more than 10 books on last year’s TBR that I want to bring forward this year. Worse, the TBR list keeps growing and I can’t read as quickly as the books are jumping into my TBR! *cries in too many books, too little time* Good luck to you for getting them read soon!
I quite enjoyed that series by Devney Perry. Hope you get to read all of these and love them. I have quite a lot of books that I would’ve liked to read from 2023 that I’ll hopefully get to soon.
I hope you get the chance to get to all these books this year! Happy reading!
My TTT
I keep hearing about Divine Rivials. I want to check it out.
Divine Rivals made my list too! Hope you’ll love all of these this year 🙂
All of these are new to me. I hope you enjoy whatever you do read this year.
I just recently had a friend recommend The Housemaid! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
My beating heart! The Wishing Game was so good. I liked the Connellys too. Not as good as Lange’s last book, but still very good.
I just got the audiobook for The Wishing Game from my library so I’m really hoping to start that one later this week. 🙂
Mile High is on my list too! Hopefully we’ll both get to it soon.
Home Front was amazing. I loved that one.
I’ve heard of a couple of these but haven’t read any of them. I hope you are able to get to these in 2024 and enjoy them.
I’ve been debating Ballad. I loved the Hunger Games books when I finally read them a few years ago…
There were too many books I wanted to read this past year that I didn’t get to. And a couple of them are on your list! The Housemaid’s Secret and The Wishing Game. I keep seeing Divine Rivals everywhere and am curious about it. I hope you enjoy all of these when you get to them, Suzanne!
I want to read The Housemaid’s Secret but I don’t own it. However, I do own and want to read Divine Rivals and The Wishing Game.
I liked The Housemaid’s Secret, though I liked the first one better lol. And There is another Housemaid book coming out in June. Excited to read that one.
Yeah, I could have made a Top 500 list with this topic! Ha ha. I did read THE WISHING GAME last year. It’s such a wholesome, uplifting read. I hope you enjoy it and all these others when you get to them.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
Susan
