Top Ten Tuesday – Books That Make Me Smile
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!
This week’s TTT topic is BOOKS THAT MAKE ME SMILE. I did a similar list earlier this year, but during this pandemic, I think we can all use as many feel-good books as we can get so I’ve updated my list with some recent reads that left me with a smile on my face. All of these are contemporary romance, and I’ve included a mix of YA and adult novels. If you’re looking for a mood-lifting read, any of these would be great choices.

Me too!
I’ve heard some great things about The Bromance Book Club. I need to pick that up at some point.

It’s such a fun series. 🙂
Not familiar with these books, but glad they make you smile. https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/2020/07/ttt-071420.html
Thanks! 🙂
Great list! The guys in the Bromance Book Club definitely made me smile.
Me too! I can’t wait until the next book comes out. 🙂
The books I have read from your list – Serious Moonlight, Simon, To All The Boys, Undercover, Take a Hint and Dimple & Rishi – are all books that made me smile too. I had such a positive and pleasant experience with all of them.

They are definitely mood lifting reads. 🙂
NINA HILL is high on my list of make-me-smile books. Same with WDMR (and all the books in that world). JOSH & HAZEL and BROMANCE were hilarious and I always welcome books that make me laugh.

Yes, all of Menon’s books have definitely left me with a smile on my face. 🙂
This is a fantastic list, and even the covers make me smile😁

Right? I love them all. 🙂
Simon is one of my favorite books ever. I just adore it and have re-read and re-listened to it many times. What If It’s Us had me smiling all the way through. And Josh & Hazel was just sunshine contained within two covers. 🙂 Great picks, Suzanne!

Josh and Hazel is perfect! I remember having a grin on my face and laughing out loud almost all the way through the book.
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before always makes me smile. It’s such a feel-good book.
Happy readings!

Those are both such great reads. 🙂
I haven’t read any of these! *hangs head in shame*
I’m happy to report that a few of them are on my kindle though! I just need to be in the mood. 🙂
I’m a mood reader too so I totally get it, lol.
You’ve been putting together some great book lists and this one is no exception!
Great post as always!

I need to read some Jenn Bennett. I’ve been meaning to for a while ever since Starry eyes. Bromance looks fun too. 🙂
Happy Tuesday!!!

Me too. Definitely one of my favorites. 🙂
Great list! I’ve read most of these, and holy, I’ll read anything Christina Lauren writes. Just followed your blog
My TTT: http://theburstingbookshelf.com/10-books-that-made-me-smile-top-ten-tuesday/
I haven’t read everything Christina Lauren has written yet, but I’ve loved all of the ones I’ve tried so far. 🙂
Nice list, Suzanne. I’ll have to check some of these out. I just finished Big Summer and it wasn’t what I was expecting what with a crime scene and all. Not quite as fun or summery as I was hoping LOL. I’ll check some of these out from your list.

Oh yeah, I really enjoyed Big Summer but that cover is so deceptive as to what the story is really about.
LOVE THIS LIST! I agree with pretty much every single one – I only really need to read some Jasmine Guillory and Lyssa Kay Adams, but they’re on the top of the TBR 🙂
