Can’t Wait Wednesday – THE NOBLEMAN’S GUIDE TO SCANDAL AND SHIPWRECKS by Mackenzi Lee
“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, which encourages fellow bloggers to spotlight upcoming releases that we’re excited about. It is a meme that I have loved participating in for over a year now, but as Jill is no longer actively posting, from now on I’ll be linking to Can’t Wait Wednesday, hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings, which is a spinoff of the original WoW meme.

My selection for this week is THE NOBLEMAN’S GUIDE TO SCANDAL AND SHIPWRECKS by Mackenzi Lee. Okay, I know this one doesn’t come out for months and months, but I stumbled across it while shopping online this weekend and was just so excited since I had no idea that Lee was planning to continue one of my all-time favorite YA series. I’m especially intrigued by this third book since it focuses on Adrian, the little brother of Monty and Felicity. If it’s like the first two books, it’s sure to be filled with plenty of adventure and humor and I can’t wait!
THE NOBLEMAN’S GUIDE TO SCANDAL AND SHIPWRECKS by Mackenzi Lee
Publication Date: August 18, 2020
From Goodreads:
Return to the enchanting world of the Montague siblings in the finale to the New York Times bestselling and Stonewall Honor-winning series, featuring a teenage Adrian Montague as he desperately seeks the now adult Monty and Felicity—the older siblings he never knew he had.
The sole heir to his family’s fortune, Adrian Montague desperately wants to be free—from his father’s high expectations; the grief of losing his beloved mother; and the constant war being waged inside his mind. Adrian was diagnosed with hysteria at a young age and it’s always been kept a secret. But when he has a breakdown at his engagement party, the public learns Adrian’s worst fear: he might not be fit to run the Montague estate.
Thankfully, Adrian is given an opportunity to avoid the impending scandal: a trip to the Caribbean to claim the last of his mother’s possessions. But along the way, Adrian discovers another secret lurking in his family tree. He is actually the youngest of three children—his sister Felicity and brother “Monty” went missing over a decade ago. Now Adrian has the chance to find them and offer to pass the estate back to the rightful heirs.
Adrian expects to win his long-lost brother over with the promise of wealth and inheritance, while dreaming of a quiet life where Adrian doesn’t feel like a burden to anyone. But when Adrian finally tracks him down, Monty refuses to return home. The only thing he can convince Monty of is to accompany him across the ocean as an act of tribute to their mother, hoping that during the voyage he can persuade Monty into taking the weight of inheriting the estate off his shoulders.
When they reach their destination, Adrian and Monty find something hidden in their mother’s belongings—a clue pointing to a valuable artifact that could potentially save the Montague siblings from a curse that threatens their lives. But to retrieve it, they must chase an infamous myth through the wild sugar fields of Barbados to the haunting streets of New Orleans to mysterious uncharted islands off the edge of the map.

Oh, my, the third book is coming out already and I haven’t even read the first yet!! But maybe I could wait until August and then binge the series!
I think it would be pretty easy to binge. I got through the first two books pretty quickly when I read them just because they were so funny.
Very cool, this is a series I regret not starting, but now that there’s a third book coming out, maybe it will give me a push!
It’s a good series if you’re looking for something light and fun to read.
I do like Mackenzi Lee but have never started this series. I’ve heard good things though. Bet lots of people are excited about another one.
Yeah, it’s a really fun series. 🙂
I loved the first book in this series and have the second one on my Kindle right now. Looking forward to this third one already too!
It’s such a fun series. 🙂
Wow, this is the first I’ve heard of this one! I never read the second book (Felicity’s story just didn’t interest me) but this one sounds like fun. I’m always up for more Monty. 🙂
I LOVE Monty!
I really need to read this series! Great pick! You can check out my Wednesday post in the link below.
Thanks, it’s definitely a fun one. 🙂
I’m excited for this book too! Mackenzi Lee is one of my favorite authors. I squealed when I found out about this one.
Same here, lol!
This sounds great so I need to check out the first two books in the series!
My CWW
If you do, I hope you enjoy them. 🙂
That sounds like the perfect mix of history and novel genre. Alone reading the summary is so interesting and the name Montague sounds very familiar to me. Although I am sure that this author or series is new to me. But the name Montague … was there a TV series or something that had this name in it? Well, that book goes on my wishlist. I need to find out more. Thank you for sharing and happy reading!
I’m not sure about the name. It’s definitely a fun series though, especially if you like history and adventure.
I haven’t read this series (yet), but everyone seems to love it.
It’s a good one. I wasn’t sure what to expect going in but it has become one of my favorites.
What?? I had no idea another book was coming and it sounds awesome!!!!
Right? I had no idea either but I’m so happy that she’s continuing the series
I bought book one earlier this year because people seem to love it but I haven’t read it yet. I love the sound of this one though so maybe I’ll get round to read the others early next year!
If you’re in the mood for a fun read, I definitely recommend this series. Monty is hilarious.
How have I still not started this series, I really need to grab a copy of the first book because everyone, including your lovely self, absolutely raves about it! So exciting that she’s bringing out another installment, I recently seen she had a novella out but glad she’s continuing on. Great choice Suzanne, going to grab a copy of Amazon shortly.
It’s a great choice if you’re in the mood for a fun read. Monty is absolutely hilarious.
I hope you enjoy this Suzanne! There’s nothing quite like the delight of finding an unexpected title you weren’t expecting!
I agree 100% and this was definitely a wonderful surprise. 🙂
I head over heels loved the first book in this series, and the second one was quite good to me as well! I can’t wait to see where it goes with the third one. I have to admit, I forgot they had a third sibling 😛
I’m glad I’m not the only one who forgot about sibling number 3, lol.
