Top Ten Tuesday – 10 Books I’d Love to Share with Everyone
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!
This week’s TTT topic is actually Books That I Refuse to Let Anyone Touch but I just drew a blank on this one. While I am picky about lending out books, I can’t really say that there are any that are completely off limits. So instead of doing the assigned topic, I decided to go a little off script and talk about books I wish I could share with everyone. In my mind, I believe that everyone could be a reader if they just found the right book and/or genre to get them hooked.
So, what I have here is a selection of some of my favorite reads that I’d consider a “starter kit” of books to explore different genres. I’ve got a mix of classics that didn’t make me cringe, thrillers that kept me on the edge of my seat, as well as fantasy and sci fi that transported me to other worlds, and contemporary novels that just left me with a smile on my face.

What are some books you’d love for everyone to read?
Jane Eyre is one of my all-time favourite books!
My TTT.
Same here!
Great choices and I just loved The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo.
Me too. I’ve loved everything I’ve read so far from TJR.
I LOVE the way you tackled this weeks theme. Totally agree with all your historical fiction choices (The Nightingale is one of my all time fav books). I don’t read much fantasy, so I might try your two suggested titles sometime to see do they win me over.
The Nightingale is one of my favorites too. I really love Kristin Hannah’s writing.
I agree, there’s a book out there for everyone! I love your mix of books up there, definitely a lot of ones I’ve enjoyed!
Thanks Angela!
I enjoyed The Nightingale immensely (lil tidbit- initially picked it up because it’s my last name), and To Kill a Mockingbird is an all-time favourite. I do plan to read some of the others.
Haha! Glad it ended up being a great read for you.
I love your twist on the topic! And you’ve definitely reminded me that I need to read some of these, especially The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo😊
I love that book so much!
I love what you did here! And excellent choices too!!
Thanks Grace!
Great list! And it was a really nice touch to include so many different genres.
Thanks Michele!
Ooh books I want everyone to read, that’s tough! For me that would probably be A Darker Shade of Magic, The Book Thief, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and Skulduggery Pleasant, they’re my favourite books/series and I’d love to be able to share them with as many people as possible!
A Darker Shade of Magic almost made my list this week too. Love that whole series so much!
I love your twist on the topic! I agree that books are meant to be shared. While I don’t mind physically loaning out my books, it seems lots of bloggers can’t stand the idea of someone touching their books. It’s so interesting to read about other people’s book habits.
Happy TTT!

I’ve never had the best luck loaning out books, but I do love to buy books for others or give them away if I happen to have an extra copy of a beloved book.
I loved your take on this theme! I have read a few of these and I love them.
Thanks!
So many great picks! You definitely included some of my all-time favorites. Books that impacted me in one way or another. Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda, The Nightingale, The Kiss Quotient, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo… all of those are so meaningful to me.
Same here! 🙂
Great choices! The Night Circus is a great book <3 And I really need to read the Kiss Quotient! I have a copy but haven't gotten to it yet.
It’s such a fun read. I hope you love it!
I really need to read your fantasy picks!!
They’re so good!
The Last Time I Lied totally seems like something I’d like! And the Illuminae books were so fun. 🙂
I love the Illuminae books and can’t wait to read their new series.
Great list! I need to get to The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo soon, I’ve heard such good things about it, and I want to read The Bear and the Nightingale this year, too.
Evelyn Hugo is so good, especially the audio version.
I really liked The Kiss Quotient. I don’t get people that don’t want to read. There are so many different types of books!
Right? I’m convinced there’s a perfect book out there for everyone.
Wow! I’ve just about every book on your list, most read💜 Of course I’m loving these titles😍
Glad to hear it! 🙂
I have read 6 of these, but am most excited to see Beauty Queen up there, because I adored it, and didn’t see too many people talking about it.
Right? That book deserves so much more love than it has been getting.
Oh, I like this starter kit, Suzanne! This is such a great idea for an introduction to different genres.
Thanks! 🙂
I love your idea of a starter kit in different genres Suzanne! This is brilliant and the one I do prefer on your list is The Kiss Quotient 😉
Thanks Sophie! 🙂
You’ve picked so many of my favorites here, Suzanne! Wonderful, complete list!
Thank you! 🙂
