Summer TBR Wipeout 2018: Update #1
I can’t believe we’ve already made it to the first update post of the Summer TBR Wipeout Challenge hosted by The Candid Cover, but here we are! I don’t know if I’ll get through all 15 books that were on my tentative TBR for this challenge, but I’m pretty pleased with my progress so far. I’m especially thrilled to have finished another George R.R. Martin book as well as the final book in the Grishaverse trilogy. Overall, I managed to 6 books for this first update (5 from my original TBR + 1 library book that became available sooner that I expected it to) and I also made a good start on a 7th book, In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware. Go me! LOL! Anyway, here are all of the books I’ve read so far and what books I’m hoping to get to next. 4 of those are from my original TBR and then I added Not the Girls You’re Looking For, another library book that became available sooner than anticipated. Wish me luck!
WHAT I PLAN TO READ NEXT
Wow, great job!! You got so much reading done, especially since you had A Feast for Crows in there! Hope you enjoy your upcoming reads!
wow that is quite a mark on those tbr books. I really enjoyed save the date. I really want tor read the mermaid. can’t wait to see your thoughts on that one.
Save the Date was a lot of fun. It made me appreciate how smoothly my own wedding actually went, lol.
Looks like you’re really doing well! I hope you love The Mermaid, it was so well written😊
I’m planning to start The Mermaid next week so we’ll see how it goes 🙂
Great job!! Hope you like In a Dark Dark Wood!
Thanks! I’m really enjoying it so far.
Congrats, you’re doing a great job! And those Game of Thrones books are SO LONG, so that’s amazing. I really hope to read The Mermaid soon, and I want to read In a Dark Dark Wood and The Last Time I Lied.
I’m planning to start The Mermaid next week. Can’t wait!
I just finished Letters to the Lost and I absolutely loved it. You have some great picks on your list!
Letters to the Lost was so amazing! If you haven’t read it yet, More Than We Can Tell is also great and focuses on Rev.
Wow! You’re doing great! I still need to start the Grishaverse trilogy! 😂
I just finally started it this year and thought it was definitely worth the wait 🙂
It looks like you are making some fantastic progress, especially with a huge George R.R. Martin in there! I hope you continue doing so well (and even if you don’t read as many, you’re still doing awesome!). The only one I’ve read out of all of these is The Mermaid, which I really enjoyed and I hope you do as well.
I’m planning to start The Mermaid next week and am so excited!
Wow you’re doing great! Both The Raging Ones and Believe Me look really good! The Last Time I liked is one I think I need to get…
You are really getting through those books – I’m impressed! Best of luck with the rest of the books on your list:)
6 books is awesome! I am doing alright with my TBR wipeout. I almost strayed today, but the challenge actually kept me on track.
I did really well at staying on track for the first week but then a couple of library books that I had on hold became available sooner than I was expecting. Back on track now though.
Gah! You have so many good ones! I hope you’re able to get to them all!
Thanks, me too!
Awesome!! Enjoy your next few reads! 🙂
You are doing amazing! I’m betting that you’ll get to The Raging Ones before I do so I’ll be super interested to see what you think of it.
Thanks! Yes, I’m doing a blog tour for that one so I need to get to it ASAP!
Woohoo! You are flying through the challenge! I can’t wait to find out what you think of The Raging Ones. Good luck with the next part of the challenge and I hope that you enjoy these titles. 🙂
