Top Ten Tuesday: New-to-Me Authors I Read for the First Time in 2023
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s TTT topic is Top 10 New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2023. I read a lot of great new-to-me authors last year, and today I’m sharing my favorites from the bunch. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more from all of them.

I also listened to Freida McFadden for the first time. I just listened to Catherine Cowles so that will be 2024. I’ve read Kennedy Ryan and Karen Rose for much longer. Some of my new authors would be : SA Crosby, Jodi Taylor, SB Divya, Malka Older, Robert Bailey, CJ Box, and Heather Fawcett.
I really should try Kennedy Ryan sometime.
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
I would love to try Freida McFadden one of these days. Nice list!
Great list, I want to check out a couple of these authors. Some of them were very hyped last year! I hope you discover some awesome new authors in 2024 🙂
I’m not familiar with any of these authors but I love discovering new ones, so I may have to add some of them to my TBR to check them out.
I also discovered Lucy Score in 2024! I do love Mariana Zapata so I’m happy to see her on your list, and Elsie Silver and Catherine Cowles are authors I’m hoping to try in 2024 🙂
I’ve heard of several of these authors but have not read any of them. I hope you continue to enjoy these authors in 2024.

I discovered Freida McFadden too!
I see three of my favorites up there! Catherine Cowles, Kennedy Ryan, and Mariana Zapata. I definitely want to try Elsie Silver this year.
The Housemaid! Yes. I need to get that…
I’ve read all but 2 of these authors and loved them all. I’m happy you found them!
I read an Asher book last year too. I have on read Maggie Moves On by Score, but it was fantastic.
I love Katee Robert! I’m obsessed with her Dark Olympus series (which I’m behind on), but I’m planning on Hunt on Dark Waters.
We share Elsie Silver! I’m planning on reading Lucy Score this year, so glad to see her make your list!
I’ve heard so many good things about McFadden’s books that I tried one of them last year and…I didn’t love it. It wasn’t THE HOUSEMAID”S SECRET, so maybe I should try that one instead since it’s the one that seems to be getting the most buzz. We’ll see! I’m glad you discovered so many great new authors last year.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I have definitely seen a few mixed reviews for some of her earlier books, so I’m a little hesitant to try them. I plan to read the second Housemaid’s book and then go from there if I enjoy that one as much as the first one.
I’ve heard so many good things about lots of these books, but haven’t read any. I discovered Tessa Bailey last year x
