Top Ten Tuesday: New-to-Me Authors I Read for the First Time in 2023

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s TTT topic is Top 10 New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2023. I read a lot of great new-to-me authors last year, and today I’m sharing my favorites from the bunch.  I’m definitely looking forward to reading more from all of them.

I also listened to Freida McFadden for the first time. I just listened to Catherine Cowles so that will be 2024. I’ve read Kennedy Ryan and Karen Rose for much longer. Some of my new authors would be : SA Crosby, Jodi Taylor, SB Divya, Malka Older, Robert Bailey, CJ Box, and Heather Fawcett.

I’ve heard so many good things about McFadden’s books that I tried one of them last year and…I didn’t love it. It wasn’t THE HOUSEMAID”S SECRET, so maybe I should try that one instead since it’s the one that seems to be getting the most buzz. We’ll see! I’m glad you discovered so many great new authors last year.

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I have definitely seen a few mixed reviews for some of her earlier books, so I’m a little hesitant to try them. I plan to read the second Housemaid’s book and then go from there if I enjoy that one as much as the first one.
