Top Ten Tuesday – Books on my Winter 2022-2023 To-Read List

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!

This week’s TTT topic is a Books on My Winter 2022-2023 To-Read List.  I always say I’m going to request less ARCs and concentrate more on books I already own, but here we are again, getting ready to start another year and I already have a few dozen review books stacking up.  Today I’m sharing the ten I’m most excited to dive into this winter. I think I’ve got a pretty good mix of romance, historical fiction, and thrillers to look forward to.

I was so close to the fabled 80% feedback ratio on NetGalley and I really told myself I would get there and stay above it… but nope I’ve only got a pile of very tempting 2023 releases waiting for me. They do it to us on purpose!

I made a concerted effort to lay off the arcs about two years ago so I could concentrate more on books I own and backlist titles. Bets decision ever! LOL It’s hard to not be tempted by all the new releases (and I do still read new releases) but I don’t miss arcs at all. Right now I have exactly one pending and it’s a Jill Shalvis title that I’m looking forward to. I love your mix of romance, historical, and mystery/thriller!

I’ve definitely increased the number of books I own that I’ve read in the past couple of years but have not really cut back much on the numbers of ARCs I still request. I think cancelling cable TV so I have no other entertainment to distract me is the only reason I’ve been able to do both, lol.
