Top Ten Tuesday – Ten Authors I Haven’t Read Yet, But Plan to in 2022
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!
This week’s TTT topic is Authors I Haven’t Read, But Want To. This was a pretty easy topic for me since I almost always have an ongoing list of authors I want to try. Today I’m sharing a list of mostly romance authors that I’m planning to try for the first time this year, as well as the actual book I’m planning to start with. Since I drafted this post, I’ve actually started reading the Julia Quinn book. After I binge watched season 2 of Bridgerton on Netflix a couple of weekends ago, I couldn’t resist diving into the book series that inspired the show.
Ten Authors I Haven’t Read Yet, But Plan to in 2022
1. ABBY JIMENEZ
2. EMMA SCOTT
3. JAYCI LEE
4. JILL SHALVIS
5. JULIA QUINN
7. PENNY REID
9. CHLOE LIESE
10. HELENA HUNTING

May you enjoy all of their works!
Emma Scott is one of my go-to authors, but only when I’m prepared to handle the angst. 🙂 I just read my first by Jill Shalvis (The Family You Make) this year and I’m sure I’ll read more. After four books, I finally decided to part ways with Chloe Liese. I just don’t think she’s for me.
Great list! Jill Shalvis is one I want to try, too. Penny Reid, Chloe Liese, and Abby Jimenez are all ones I’ve read and enjoyed, and I think you’ll like them, too!
I’ve read two of Abby Jimenez’s books so far and I cannot wait for Part of Your World! I think you’ll really like her stuff and can’t wait to hear what you think!
I also plan to read Julia Quinn’s books, but I’m starting with the season two book since it’s fresh in my mind😁
Yaaas, Chloe Liese! I love to see it 😍 Her Bergman Brothers series is probably one of my all-time fave romances. So, so good!! I want to read Jayci Lee’s and Abby Jimenez’s books too and I want to (hopefully) get to them soon. I hope you enjoy all of these authors/books!
Abby Jimenez was on my TTT as well.
I have read 6 of these authors and Abby Jimenez is on my TTT today.
I’ve seen Julia Quinn in a few lists today!
Here is my TTT

I really like Rebecca Serle! You have to suspend your disbelief while reading her books, but they are amazing and emotional!
I have not read any of these authors but I have wondered about Julia Quinn as well. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it.
I also want to read Abby Jimenez. Bot OMG I’ve read everything Penny Reid and Jill Shalvis. They are both auto read for me! Enjoy!
I’m dying over here because I love so, so many of these authors! The only ones I haven’t read are Lee, Burchal, and Serle. You must read all of these soon! NO pressure or anything. HAHA
I went rogue this week! But I hope you’ll read Emma Scott’s books one day!
One Italian Summer keeps calling me. I saw it at the bookstore on a display table and it looked good
You’ll love Penny Reid and Jill Shalvis! They’re both great. And Booked on a Feeling and When Sparks Fly are two books I plan on reading this year, too. Great TTT list. 🙂
This is the first list where I have read all these authors. Wow! I am excited for you to sample these authors. I see some of my faves up there.
Bridgerton is SOOOO popular right now! It’s crazy. I’m not much of a t.v. watcher or a romance reader, so it’s really not on my radar, but I hope you love the books as well as all the others on your list.
Happy TTT!

I hope you enjoy reading these when you get the opportunity.
I don’t think I’ve read any of these, but I hope you love them!
I loved The Secret Bridesmaid by Katy Birchall – I can’t wait to check out her upcoming one!
I also read Julia Quinn for the first time last month and really loved it 🙂 Abby Jimenez, Penny Reid and Emma Scott are a few authors I also want to try. Hope you’ll enjoy all of these!
This is a tough one. I will say that Jill Shalvis is an author that I’ve wanted to try. Bec MacMaster is one that I still need to give a go. I kinda want to try the Jack Reacher series, so Lee Child. I’m sure there are many more. So many authors, so little time. 🙂
The Bridgerton books are awesome! (I also love the TV show and so far it has kept generally the same but at the same time changed some MAJOR details!)
I loved the first Bridgerton so much that I’m planning to read book two this month. It really is a fun series and I love the Netflix show too. 🙂
