Can’t Wait Wednesday – THE NIGHT SHE DISAPPEARED by Lisa Jewell
“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, which encourages fellow bloggers to spotlight upcoming releases that we’re excited about. It is a meme that I have loved participating in since I first started blogging, but as Jill is no longer actively posting, from now on I’ll be linking to Can’t Wait Wednesday, hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings, which is a spinoff of the original WoW meme.

My selection for this week is The Night She Disappeared by Lisa Jewell. I have consistently had wonderful reading experiences with Lisa Jewell’s thrillers. So much so that she has become one of my go-to authors when I’m in the mood for a deliciously twisted read. I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of her newest
THE NIGHT SHE DISAPPEARED by Lisa Jewell
Publication Date: September 7, 2021 by Atria Books
From Goodreads:
2017: 19 year old Tallulah is going out on a date, leaving her baby with her mother, Kim.
Kim watches her daughter leave and, as late evening turns into night, which turns into early morning, she waits for her return. And waits.
The next morning, Kim phones Tallulah’s friends who tell her that Tallulah was last seen heading to a party at a house in the nearby woods called Dark Place.
She never returns.
2019: Sophie is walking in the woods near the boarding school where her boyfriend has just started work as a head-teacher when she sees a note fixed to a tree.
‘DIG HERE’ . . .
A cold case, an abandoned mansion, family trauma and dark secrets lie at the heart of Lisa Jewell’s remarkable new novel.

I’d love to hear what upcoming book releases you’re waiting on this Wednesday? Leave me your link in the comments below and I’ll stop by and check out your CWW selection for this week. 🙂
I haven’t been reading many thrillers lately, but this sounds intriguing!
Same here. I’m just starting to get in the mood for them after avoiding them for most of the pandemic.
I hope you enjoy this one Suzanne — I am on a blog tour for this one later this month. Iam looking forward to what you think of it!
Thanks! I hope it’s a great read for you and will be on the lookout for your review. 🙂
I am trying patiently to wait for Go Tell the Bees that I am Gone by Diana Gabaldon, but it doesn’t come out until November and it’s so hard to wait.
Oh wow, that is a long wait. I hope you enjoy it when you finally get to read it. 🙂
I just mentioned this one in my post today. I love Jewell’s brand of domestic thrillers.
I do too. I’ve had really good luck with her books.
Whoa this sounds good. And the cover looks like a swimming pool so I’m curious to see how that fits into the story.
That blurb and the “dig here” note definitely has me intrigued.
Right? The “dig here” really grabbed my attention and I want to know what will be found.
Ooh, that sounds like a really good mystery! Hope you get it soon! My post this week is in the link below.

My WoW
I do want to read this author!
“Dig Here”
That really caught my attention! I know so many Lisa Jewell fans that I’m embarrassed not to have read any of her works yet. I’ll have to make sure to give this one a shot when it releases.
This sounds good!
Cannot wait for this one as well. Love Lisa Jewell.
I really want to read this one too. It sounds really good. Lisa Jewell is one I really want to read more by.
Me too. I’ve had such good luck with her recent releases and really want to go back and read some of her older books.
