Top Ten Tuesday – My Top 10 Favorite Reads of 2018 (So Far!)

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!

This week’s TTT topic is Best Books I’ve Read In 2018 (So Far).  The hardest part of this week’s topic was actually narrowing down to just ten great books I’ve read so far this year because I’ve had a pretty great reading year thus far.  Hopefully saying that won’t jinx me and throw me into an epic reading slump, haha!  Anyway, after much thought, I was able to choose ten favorites.  Most are 2018 releases, but a couple of them are 2017 releases that I read while tackling my backlist and fell in love with.

If I had included non 2018 releases, Far From the Tree would have easily made my list. Benway is just so wonderful! I Have Lost My Way almost made my top ten too. Forman came back to YA so strong.

So happy to see Last Time I Lied on there. I didn’t love her last book but this one looked so good. I loved Cruel Prince too. I Have Lost My Way and More Than We Can Tell were great. I’m excited for the new Ruth Ware!

I can’t believe I haven’t read THe Great Alone yet. Kristin Hannah is typically an auto-buy for me. Her storytelling is phenomenal and I’m always impacted by her books. I really need to get to More Than We Can Tell soon. I loved Letters to the Lost and would love to get Rev’s story. I have so much love for Far From the Tree. I read that one last year and I think I cried at almost all of Joaquin’s chapters. Love, love, love that book. 💜💜💜 Yes, yes, yes to The Cruel Prince! That’s been one of my big surprises this year!

OMG, yes. Joaquin had me in tears several times while I was reading that book. I’m glad I’m not the only one!

What a great list of books! I’m planning to pick up To Kill a Kingdom soon, so I love seeing it on here. I thought The Cruel Prince was also great, I was so pleasantly surprised by it. I’ve not read any of the others, but I’ll definitely keep my eye out for them!

I still need to read most of these! I’m really looking forward to Girl Made of Stars. A few books I’ve loved this year… The Kiss Quotient, Silver Silence, Words in Deep Blue, Royally Screwed, Cress, Wild Child, The Female of the Species… I know not all of these were released this year, but that’s when I read them! 🙂

I really need to get my hands on a copy of The Kiss Quotient. I think I’ve seen more positive reviews for that book than any other 2018 release.
