Top Ten Tuesday – Books Set in Bookish Places
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!
This week’s TTT topic is Characters Whose Job I Wish I Had. I’m kind of on topic this week, but not exactly, because I didn’t really focus on characters. Instead, I chose to focus on books whose settings are places I would love to work and, in my case, those settings are bookstores and/or libraries.

Working in a bookstore or library would be my dream job – I’d love to be surrounded by books all day!
Same here!
I’d definitely choose to work in a bookstore or library, preferably in Paris.
That sounds perfect! 🙂
Libraries and librarians have been such popular picks this week. 🙂

We all love our books. 🙂
Fantastic topic! I’ve only read one of these (Mr. Penumbra) but I’m always on the lookout for more bookish settings. It’s the dream job for sure!
Right?
I love reading books set in bookish places. It’s very meta!
Totally!
I’ve definitely come across lots of bookstores in books I’d like to work at!
Me too!
Ooh we have similar posts this week! 🙂 I love bookish settings and this list definitely has a lot of bookish books I still get to discover 🙂 I’m especially intrigued by Last Chance Books!
Bookish settings are so much fun. 🙂
I love the covers of The Little Paris Bookshop and The Paris Library! I used to work in both a library and a bookstore and loved it!
Here’s my list: https://daniellegrandinetti.com/2021/03/02/top-ten-tuesday-characters-whose-jobs-i-wish-i-had/
Those covers are so gorgeous!
I also added two librarians in today’s list of dream jobs Suzanne!
I think it would be such a fun job. 🙂
Words in Deep Blue – the letter library was amazing. I adored Nina Hill and her shop too.
Yes, I really adored the letter library. Wish there was something like that here.
I love books that are set in bookish places! I could live…and work…in them. Such a great list! 😀
Same here!
I think all book lovers dream of getting paid to do what they love – read and be around books. I’m sure these jobs are actually as stressful and sometimes tedious as any other, but they sure sound fun!
Happy TTT!

They really do sound fun, especially since I work with numbers and taxes all day, lol.
Anything in a bookshop! I liked Mr. Penumbra’s…
Such a cool book!
