Top Ten Tuesday – Ten Signs You’re a Bibliophile

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!

This week’s TTT topic is Ten Signs You’re a Book Lover (basically, people know you’re a book lover because… i.e., you’re always carrying a book or two, your library card broke from overuse, etc.).  I thought this was a fun topic and lots of things came to mind that give me away as a book lover to everyone who knows me.

YES to #1! I memorized mine so I could log into my account from work, haha! #5 is also me – I always bring way more books than I actually end up reading!

I literally do each and every single one of these so I guess I am a strong bookworm. But then again, for me I think I already knew that 😉 I love the gif you chose for the multitasking one… it is so perfect! Ever since I discovered audiobooks chores are something I can look forward to hehe ^.^

Audiobooks while doing chores is truly the best. I listening while folding the laundry, ironing, etc. and it makes even my most hated chores more tolerable.

Yes to all of these! One thing I noticed is that whenever I bring a book with me when there is waiting involved (like a doctor appointment), I never have to wait. But if I forget a book, the wait is super long. Why, universe??

      Suzanne says:

I have been in that position as well. I finally ended up installing the kindle app on my phone and syncing it to my kindle so I can at least use that in a pinch.

LOL I actually do have my library card memorized (from entering it so often in OverDrive). And I absolutely always have a book with me. Never leave home without it. And when traveling I always, always overestimate the number of books I’ll be reading. I pack loads (physical and Kindle).

      Suzanne says:

I pack tons of them too and continue to do it even as I complain about how much my luggage weighs because of the books, lol.

I can SO relate! No. 9 – I’m shattered today because I HAD to stay up until the wee small hours to discover what happened next… And I’ve been known to turn back for home to pick up my Kindle when running late – and not bother to track down my phone. Kindle or phone? It’s a no-brainer!! Great article, Suzanne.

I relate to so many of these things. If I am at a really good part in a book, but I have to get ready for work, I will try to brush my teeth or blow out my hair while reading. It’s not easy, but you have to do what you have to do.

Ha these are great! And so true. I absolutely CANNOT go past a bookstore without going in, even if only briefly. 🙂

Ha! All of these fit me except the first one, and that’s only because I have my library card number already saved on my computer so I never have to type it in when checking out a book. LOL! Great list!!!

Oooh I love all the gifs <3 <3 And I am always the person that packs way too many books for traveling even if I know I probably won't have time to read 🤣🤣

Great list! These definitely have my name written all over them 😂 And of course you have to be super extra prepared for that 1% chance you’ll end up reading on holiday! Haha I always end up filling too much of my luggage space with books that don’t get read… But they do get photographed 😂

Ha! This is so fun, Suzanne. I can relate to almost all of them. #5 and #6 especially! LOL. Really missing my local bookstore and library right now.
