Bloglovin – Give me a follow!
/2 Comments/by SuzanneFrom the research I’ve conducted as I’ve been setting up my book blog, I’ve discovered that this is supposed to be one of the best blogging communities on the internet, so I’ve signed up for an account and have claimed my blog there. I’m my only follower at the moment (insert sad face), but hopefully that will change soon.
I’m updating on June 10, 2016 to say that I’m now up to 12 followers. Celebrating baby steps here, haha. Gaining new followers is a slow but steady process. What is making it a little more challenging for me is that I’m having trouble interacting will fellow bloggers who use the Blogger platform. I hope I can resolve that soon. If anyone else has encountered this issue and has found a solution, I’d love to hear it because there are so many bookish posts out there that I’d love to be commenting on. I’m trying to comment using my WordPress.com profile.
I do follow back, so if you would like to give me a follow, I’ll return the favor 🙂
Hello World!
/1 Comment/by SuzanneThanks so much for stopping by my book blog, The Bookish Libra. If you’ve clicked this link, you’re obviously looking to learn a little more about the bookworm who runs it. Well, okay then, here goes…
My name is Suzanne and I’m a 40-something lover of books who also happens to be a wife and soccer mom.
My reading tastes are pretty eclectic. I’m steeped in the classics from my college days, but I also love contemporary fiction, some historical fiction, and am recently becoming more interested in young adult fiction as well. I am constantly on the lookout for lists of ‘Most Anticipated Books’ because that’s where I pull many of my reading selections from.
Some of my all time favorite books include To Kill a Mockingbird, Beloved, Pride and Prejudice, The Poisonwood Bible, Life of Pi, All the Light We Cannot See, The Kite Runner, and The Help.
I love to talk about and recommend books almost as much as I like to read them, so I decided it was time to carve out my own little space on the internet so I can geek out on books in my free time. I’m not sure how frequent my updates will be as I do work full-time and also spend a lot of my non-working hours at the soccer fields cheering on my son, but I will do my best to update as often as time allows. I hope you enjoy the blog 🙂
