Top 10 Things Books Have Made Me Want to Do after Reading Them

top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is Top Ten Things Books Have Made Me Want To Do or Learn About After Reading Them.   What a great topic, although I felt a little lame because although inspired to do all of these things, there are very few of them that I have actually done. There’s still time though! 🙂

You may be wondering which of these I’ve actually done? Well, I’ve ridden a horse, traveled to Italy, started a blog, climbed up the bell tower at Notre Dame, taught young people, and I’ve thankfully found myself a group of best friends that are like family to me. I have shot a bow and arrow once, but I won’t go so far as to say I’ve learned archery, haha.

So what have books inspired you to want to do or learn?

Great list, I agree about Black Beauty. I loved the read as a child. Also, yes to Julia and Julia. I havent read the book but the movie made me so enthusiastic about blogging. I should read the Forsester book. Maybe I would get eager about Italy too

I loved Black Beauty so much when I was a child. It took me until a couple of years ago to work up the nerve to get on a horse, but as soon as I did, I immediately thought of that book all over again.

My horse obsession comes partly from books and partly from my dad I think! Black Beauty is still my favourite horse book though. Reading made me want to travel to Italy too, I went to Naples about six years ago now, it was so good!

Oh, I haven’t been to Naples yet, but it’s definitely on my list. So far I’ve only been to Rome, Florence, and Venice, but all three cities were just incredible!

I’ve always wanted to go to Italy! It seems like such a beautiful country. I need to read Beautiful Ruins as well. Great list!

I’ve been to a few cities in Italy and they have been truly some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.

Omg, yes! Katniss Everdeen is the reason why I’m obsessed with archery. When ever I play a video game, usually an RPG, I always choose to be an archer if it’s and option and often make the character resemble Katniss as much as possible. haha

Haha, that is awesome! I also love that they now even have Nerf bow and arrow sets. There are always tons of girls running around my neighborhood pretending to be Katniss. Very cool to watch 🙂
