Top Ten Tuesday – I’ve Been Framed – My Favorite Book Covers that Feature Eye Glasses

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!

This week’s TTT topic is a Book Cover Freebie (choose what kind(s) of covers you want to talk about: prettiest, most unique, most misleading, weirdest, most memorable, creepiest, ugliest, etc.).

I decided to focus on book covers that feature eyewear.  I don’t know if it’s because I wear glasses myself or what, but I’m always drawn to covers with glasses. Regular glasses, sunglasses, goggles, you name it, they all grab my attention.  I’ve put together a collage of some of my favorites to share with you today.  If you want to know more about any of the books I’ve featured, use the links below.

Oh this is brilliant, Suzanne! I love this — and the topic is such a great take on this week’s TTT. Also — Bernadette, with those glasses? Totally got me!

This is such a fun twist on this week’s topic! I really like the colours on the cover of The Bookish Life of Nina Hill, and Slay’s one I really want to check out. That edition of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is pretty!

You seem to have a preference for books that feature people wearing glasses or sunglasses. 🙂 I think it’s cool to figure stuff like that out.

Hi Suzanne, well this is impressive. I don’t know if I’ve read any book with glasses on the cover…hmm, must look at my Read list on GR. Great collage and all the covers are quite beautiful. Love the color and illustrations.

omg I love this post! I feel like I have a very old Pinterest board with covers with glasses. Yes, I found it. I also had Heist Society, Between You and Me, the Disenchantments…

What a fun take on this week’s topic! 🙂 I’ve always like the covers of Fumbled (and Intercepted). Although Blitzed made my least favorite covers list today. Ha! One, because by now I am sooo tired of all the illustrated covers. And two, I’m sure my feelings about the book now taint how I view the cover.

I am so sad that Helen Hoang’s book was pushed back, but it is a great cover. That woman looks like someone, who could go toe to toe with Quan. Death Prefers Blondes really captures the cheekiness of that book, so I like that a lot

Awesome and unique take on the cover freebie! I love these covers (especially Heart Principle, eek I’m so excited for that book)! Slay looks really amazing as well and Nina Hill is one of my favourite ‘gives-me-happy-vibes’ covers! Great list 🙂

These topics are the best! To be honest, I’ve never noticed covers of people with glasses, but it makes me want to go through my bookcase to see if I actually have an, particularly since, like you,I wear glasses.(lol) Hugs, RO

Illustrated covers don’t seem to be fading away, they seem to have become the “in” thing… They’re pretty cool. Some I adore, others are a bit blah. Either way, they’re interesting to look at!

I really enjoyed My Sister the Serial Killer. And I was just gifted a copy of Slay for my birthday and I am SO EXCITED to read it, you would not believe. I have always had interest in Where’d You Go Bernadette as well… And I have the bookish life of nina hill and should probably read it sooner rather than later. American Royals looks good to me too ^.^
