My selection for this week is INSTANT KARMA by Marissa Meyer. I’ve been a big Marissa Meyer fan ever since I read The Lunar Chronicles and her new book just sounds like too much fun to pass up on. I love the tagline on the cover:  “Is it love, hate…or fate?”

My selection for this week is RECOMMENDED FOR YOU by Laura Silverman.  Laura Silverman’s Girl out of Water and You Asked for Perfect have been two of my favorite reads in recent years, so I was already planning to check out her upcoming release even without knowing what it’s about.  Then I read the synopsis:  To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before meets You’ve Got Mail, a competition between two rival teen booksellers, and the potential for an enemies to lovers romance. Ummm, yes please!

My selection for this week is YOU LUCKY DOG by Julia London.  My mood reader settings are still firmly in “I need books that will make me smile” mode and I fell in love with the idea of this book as soon as I saw that adorable cover.  Then I read the synopsis and I’m already rooting for Carly and Max, as well as for Baxter and Hazel, lol.

My selection for this week is THE ONCE AND FUTURE WITCHES by Alix E. Harrow.  I started reading Harrow’s debut The Ten Thousand Doors of January this week and I’m completely enamored with it, so much so that I’m already looking ahead to see what she has coming out next.  When I saw that her next book is about witches and that it’s historical fiction, I immediately added it to my TBR. That gorgeous cover doesn’t hurt either.

My selection for this week is NO OFFENSE by Meg Cabot.  My need for all the fun and fluffy reads right now drew me to this romance between a children’s librarian and a small town sheriff.  The Florida Keys setting doesn’t hurt either. 🙂

My selection for this week is MAGIC LESSONS by Alice Hoffman.  If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you’ll know that Alice Hoffman is one of my all-time favorite authors.  I just love the way she tells a story and I think her writing is just so gorgeous and atmospheric.  Practical Magic is probably her best known book and in 2017, Hoffman gave us The Rules of Magic, a prequel that gave us some backstory for the beloved characters from Practical Magic.  Now with Magic Lessons, Hoffman is taking us back even further, all the way back to 1660’s Salem to meet the matriarch of the Owens family, accused witch Maria Owens.  I’m so excited for this book and even more so because I just found out this morning that I got approved for an e-ARC. It’s taking everything in me to not just shove all of my other review books aside and dive into this one.

My selection for this week is THE WAY BACK by Gavriel Savit.  I was initially drawn to this book because the cover is so gorgeous, but then as I read the blurb, I became even more captivated.  I love that the story pulls from Jewish folklore and was fascinated by the whole idea of demons having a world of their own and that these two teens have to travel through it and interact with the demons.

My selection for this week is THE INVISIBLE LIFE OF ADDIE LARUE by V.E. Schwab.  V.E. Schwab is one of my all-time favorite authors So far I’ve read 8 novels she’s written and they’ve all been 4.5 or 5 star reads so I was absolutely over the moon to learn that she has another book coming out this fall.  I especially love that this story has a Faustian twist to it and that there’s a hidden bookstore. It sounds so exciting!

My selection for this week is PARIS IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA by Jenn McKinlay.  Everything about this book appeals to me, from the super cute cover to the European setting, to its promise of a second chance romance.  It sounds like it will be the perfect summer read!

My selection for this week is THE SWITCH by Beth O’Leary.  After loving O’Leary’s last novel, The Flatshare, I can’t wait to get my hands on her new one, which sounds like it’s going to be such a fun read.  I love that it features an older protagonist looking for a second chance at love, and I also love that it’s a grandmother-granddaughter story.
