Top Ten Tuesday – April Showers: 10 Books With Rain on Their Covers

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!

This week’s TTT topic is April Showers — Pick your own title for this one to reflect the direction you choose to go with this prompt (books with rain on the cover/in the title, that have rainstorms in the story, or that have anything to do with rain). I decided to go with books that feature raindrops on the cover but also wanted to find some that were still somewhat bright since I associate brighter colors with spring. This was harder than I thought it would be because most of the covers I initially found were stormy and gloomy. I had to dig deeper and there are a couple that I’m not sure are even meant to be raindrops (the Waxman and Mills covers) but I’m counting them anyway since they look like raindrops, haha.

Top Ten Tuesday – I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream

This week’s TTT topic is Books that Make Me Hungry (They could have food items on the cover, foods in the title, be about foodies or have food as a main plot point… they could be cookbooks or memoirs, etc.).  Even though my son has gone back to school, it is technically still summer. Temps are still hovering the 90s and ice cream has been on my mind so I thought it be fun to share some covers that feature ice cream on them.

Top Ten Tuesday – Book Covers That Give Me Autumn Vibes

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. This week’s TTT topic is Books That Give Off Autumn Vibes (Autumn scenes/colors on the cover, autumn atmosphere, etc.).  Autumn is my favorite time of year.  I love the crispness in the air and that it means I can pull out all of my sweaters, hoodies, and cozy socks.  What I love most about autumn though are the leaves and their gradual shift from the cool greens of spring and summer to the vibrant reds, golds, and oranges of fall.  I love being outside as much as possible in the fall because it’s just so beautiful.  So my take on this week’s topic is to celebrate all of those glorious fall colors by sharing some book covers that feature them.  The books themselves have nothing to do with fall, but look at those incredible colors…
