Can’t Wait Wednesday – Love in the Time of Serial Killers by Alicia Thompson

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, which encourages fellow bloggers to spotlight upcoming releases that we’re excited about.  It is a meme that I have  loved participating in since I first started blogging, but as Jill is no longer actively posting, from now on I’ll be linking to Can’t Wait Wednesday, hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings, which is a spinoff of the original WoW meme.

My selection for this week is Love in the Time of Serial Killers by Alicia Thompson.  This book just sounds like pure fun to me and I’m kind of obsessed with the cover.

Love in the Time of Serial Killers by Alicia Thompson

Publication Date:  August 1, 2022 by Jove

From Goodreads:

Turns out that reading nothing but true crime isn’t exactly conducive to modern dating-and one woman is going to have to learn how to give love a chance when she’s used to suspecting the worst.

PhD candidate Phoebe Walsh has always been obsessed with true crime. She’s even analyzing the genre in her dissertation-if she can manage to finish writing it. It’s hard to find the time while she spends the summer in Florida, cleaning out her childhood home, dealing with her obnoxiously good-natured younger brother, and grappling with the complicated feelings of mourning a father she hadn’t had a relationship with for years.

It doesn’t help that she’s low-key convinced her new neighbor, Sam Dennings, is a serial killer (he may dress business casual by day, but at night he’s clearly up to something). But it’s not long before Phoebe realizes that Sam might be something much scarier-a genuinely nice guy who can pierce through her armor to her vulnerable heart underneath.

This one sounds like a hell of a fun read. Good, the cover isn´t really my taste but I don´t have to look at it all the time *smile* Happy reading.

It sounds interesting! I’m not a fan of crime reads so I wasn’t sure I’d like this one but I love a good romance and it sounds like it focuses on that more than the crime so would be a good read for me! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

Hope that you are having a nice week 🙂 It’s a big week here – first week of school for the kids after the summer holidays!

Be still my true-crime-loving heart, this sounds ADORABLE! And also fun! I am dying to see the true crime tropes that come up in this!
