Top Ten Tuesday – 10 Book Character Names That Would Also Make Great Pet Names

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!

This week’s TTT topic is Characters I’d Name a Pet After (These could be your own pets (present or future), you could pick 10 different animals and tell us the name and animal type, or you could choose 10 names that would make fun cat names, etc. Put your own spin on this one!)

I’m pretty sure I’ve done a topic similar to this before, but it is a fun one so I decided to do it again, but with a slight twist.  I just finished reading Jenn Bennett’s latest novel, Chasing Lucky (which I’ll be reviewing later this week, by the way), and thought it would be fun to tie this post into that one by featuring Jenn Bennett character names that would be great names for pets.  I’m imagining these for puppies and kittens, but I think they could be pretty cool for other types of pets too.

The minute I saw Josie, I thought of Drew Barrymore in Never Been Kissed, and then I thought, only the fluffiest, sweetest dog could ever be named Josie!

I love it. Since I have a golden retriever, that’s the breed I envision as being perfect for Josie. Pretty fluffy and such a sweet temperament. 🙂
