Top Ten Tuesday – 10 Book Characters I’d Follow on Social Media

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!

This week’s TTT topic is Characters I’d Follow On Social Media.  Okay, so anyone who follows me on my social media accounts knows that I’m the actual worst when it comes to social media.  I’m such an introvert and I never know what to post, what to say. I’m just a big bucket of awkward and it’s a never-ending struggle for me.  But even though I suck at it myself, I still love to follow people who are really good at social media. I also like to follow my fellow introverts so that we can revel in our awkwardness together.  Below are some characters from books I’ve read that I think I would enjoy following on social media for various reasons.

That meme has me really laughing out loud, Suzanne, and it’s a great way to start my Tuesday!(lol) My characters if they were around on social media are mostly spies, DEA agents and other sorts of people who sort of stay hidden(lol), so I just follow the authors who have been brilliant enough to create them. If I could, I sure wouldn’t mind following Harry Potter or Hermione around to see what they post on social media. Hugs, RO

I don’t think I’ve read any of these books, but I’ve been meaning to check out more than a few of them! And I totally know what you mean about social media–I am SO bad at posting and end up just not posting anything for weeks on end because I can’t think of what to post, haha.

Your post was a really interesting one because I’ve found that introverts are often the best at social media! I’m fascinated by the fact that you’ve had other experiences. 🙂

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

Such a fun list! I’d love to follow Nina, Cath, Lara Jean, Simon, Tiffy and Hazel as well. Also, haha I totally relate to your feelings on social media 🙂 Let’s indeed just all introvert together and revel in our social awkwardness 😉

Emika and Cath are great choices. 🙂 I’d add Reagan from Fangirl too cause i liked how snarky she was and how she had cath’s back. 🙂

I’ve seen Nina on quite a few lists too!

Laura Jean, Hazel, and Cath keep popping up today, and I agree, all great characters with interests that could carry a social media account. Rev would be dropping some wisdom, so I would love to follow him as well. I could see Willowdean tweeting inspiration type stuff, and I would read Nina’s musings all day.

I love Lara Jean, and Willowdean Dixon! They are both such fun characters, and I can see why you’d follow both of them on social media. I haven’t read the rest of the books on your list, but I l do love Christina Lauren’s stories.
