Top Ten Tuesday – Books I Hope to Find Under My Christmas Tree

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!

This week’s TTT topic is Books I Hope to Find Under My Christmas Tree.  I honestly didn’t ask for any books this year, but even when I don’t, I usually get at least a couple of gift cards to the bookstore so here are some books I’d consider purchasing with those cards.

Wishing a very Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates the holiday!

I have Capturing the Devil but I haven’t read it yet. I re-read Stalking Jack this year for my book club, so I really want to re-read the next two before finishing up!

I just finished Escaping from Houdini a couple of weeks ago so I’m hoping I can get to Capturing the Devil soon. I love that series.

My daughter loved Darkdawn. She really enjoyed that series. I LOVED Foolish Hearts. It was my first Emma Mills book, and it motivated me to read them all

I hope Santa is extra sweet with you Suzanne! If I had to choose only one for you on your list I’d choose The Reckless Oath!

That’s one I really want to read. I didn’t get it for Christmas but hopefully I can still snag a copy so I can read it in 2020.

Winter Garden was heart wrenching, but then again almost all of Kristin Hannah’s books are heart wrenching. 🙂 It’s one of my favorites by her. And The Reckless Oath We Made is one of my favorite reads of 2019.

Kristin Hannah is the queen of heartwrenching reads. I’m glad to hear you loved Winter Garden. I’ve read all of her newer books but really want to read more of her older titles this coming year.

I hope you found quite a few of these under your tree this year Suzanne! Children of Virtue and Vengeance is especially one that I want to read as well. I have a copy on my Kindle from Netgalley but need a physical copy for the cover alone, so spectacular!

I’m not doing gifts this year which is probably good for me because well, I am on a book buying ban after all. The Testaments and Children of Virtue and Vengeance are two I really want to read though, so I hope you get them too and can tell me all about them!

I hope you got at least SOME of these books under your tree this year. I didn’t actually get any books, as such. But I did get a lovely collection of book tokens/vouchers, etc so I can choose exactly what I want! Yippee!
