Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Fabulous Books That Deserve More Love

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!

This week’s TTT topic is Books I LOVED with Fewer than 2,000 Ratings on Goodreads.  I really like doing posts like this because there are so many great books out there that deserve more attention than what they’ve gotten so far.  I tried to narrow my focus this time around on books that were published at least a couple of months ago and still have less than 2,000 reviews on Goodreads.  I figure anything newer than that still has a pretty good shot of crossing that 2,000 review threshold soon and doesn’t necessarily need a nudge from me yet.  All of the books on my list were also either 4 or 5 star reads for me

This is the first Top Ten I’ve seen that I actually have heard of some of these and even have them on my TBR. The Beauty That Remains, The Spy With the Red Balloon, and The Accidental Beauty Queen are all on my TBR.
    Great list!

I have not read any of the books on your list, but I do have a few of them on my “To Read” list. When I go to the library, I search the stacks for books that don’t receive as much love as they should.

I bought Daughters of the Storm on a whim at a bookstore about a month ago, so I am glad to see it make your list and that you liked it! I might bump it up on my TBR!

I’m sorry to say that I haven’t read any of these! I have been wanting to check out Daughters of the Storm, though. I’m really drawn to that cover for I Stop Somewhere, also.

And shockingly I have never heard about those books, which is obvious for under- hyped books)))
The spot with the red 🎈 sounds really funny. Misty be a light read.

WE ARE STILL TORNADOES!!! My love for that book knows no bounds. I think I featured that a few years back. It was perfection for me. I adored The Accidental Beauty Queen. So fun, so cute. Speak Easy, Speak Love should be getting a ton of love, because it was amazing, as was Letting Go of Gravity. Summer Bird Blue was excellent, as was I Stop Somewhere. I think you win for featuring the most books I have read.

    • Suzanne
      Suzanne says:

I’m glad you loved all of these too. I was shocked when I saw how few ratings most of them had. They all deserve so much more love than they’re currently getting.

    Greg says:

Little Big Love is one I’ve seen around before and thought looked good. I can see getting that one at some point for sure.

I can’t believe I haven’t read any of these Suzanne, I’ll have to rectify that and check a few of these out today. I remember when I first started blogging, I used to read a lot of indie published eBooks and now reading so many Australian authors, quite a good chunk of them have under 100 ratings actually. It would be great to see more books with worldwide publishing rights, fingers crossed that one day we’ll be able to enjoy more books from all around the world.

Although I lost track of time and didn’t make my own post, I am loving this topic! I don’t think I have read a single book from your list, but they sound good. I just added Daughters of the Storm to my Goodreads TBR pile.
