Top Ten Tuesday – Most Anticipated Book Releases for the First Half of 2019

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!

This week’s TTT topic is Most Anticipated Book Releases for the First Half of 2019.  This was a hard topic, but only in the sense that it’s impossible to narrow down to just ten books that I’m super excited to read between now and June.  I was able to narrow down to 13 and that’s the best I could do.  I have a couple of sequels, The Wicked King and Children of Virtue and Vengeance, that I’m very excited about, as well as new books from several of my authors like Leigh Bardugo and Brigid Kemmerer.  I also included a couple of debuts that I think are going to be amazing, We Hunt the Flame and Descendant of the Crane.  As you can also see, my reading tastes are eclectic as always, with my most anticipated reads being a mix of fantasy, historical fiction, thrillers, and even a romance.

Happy Reading everyone!  I can’t wait to read all of your most anticipated lists!

A couple new ones for me. I am currently listening to wicked king and read a curse so dark and lonely. Wicked king just started. A curse so dark and lonely I am loving.

Daisy Jones and the Six pretty much tops my list. So excited for that one. The Wicked King is up there, too. I plan on starting it next week and my fingers are crossed that it lives up to the hype!

Your list has so many great titles. I can’t wait to get my hands on Spectacle. It reminds me of Stalking Jack the Ripper (minus the supernatural visions) and that’s one of my favourite series.

    Happy readings! 😉

The Wicked King is on my list too! I am so excited to read it, but I am re-reading The Cruel Prince right now before I start The Wicked King.

So many good releases! I truly cannot keep up, haha. We Hunt the Flame, The Wicker King, Spectacle, Descendant of the Crane are all ones I’m particularly excited for. Really great list!

The Wicked King I want even though I haven’t read The cruel Prince yet lol. I just have a feeling I’m going to like that series. And new Taylor Jenkins Reid always gets my attention! 🙂

It’s probably a good idea to have both books. The end of the first one has had me anxiously awaiting The Wicked King for months now, lol.

I so need The Bride Test. TKQ was so, so good, and I just want to get back in that world, catch up with Stella and Micael, and get Khai’s story.

So many amazing books Suzanne! I think I have most of these on my 2019 TBR as well. Despite all the mess between Tomi and Nora, I’m so excited for Children of Virtue and Vengeance. I absolutely loved Children of Blood and Bone! One of the stand out books of 2018 for me. I think On The Come Up is a given, if you read young adult and it’s not on your TBR, you probably need to reassess your life choices frankly. I can’t wait for all the 2019 releases, gimme all the books! ♡♡

I see so many here I want to read, Suzanne. I have a couple on my shelf but not enough! Daisy Jones is one I am ecstatic about, as is The Lost Girls of Paris. I hope you get to read most of these and love them too.

These posts are SO dangerous because not only do I see a ton of books that I already knew I wanted to read, inevitably there are some that I didn’t know about that get tacked on to my TBR. 🙂 Spectacle wasn’t on my radar, but it is now!
