Can’t Wait Wednesday – Spotlight on LETTING GO OF GRAVITY by Meg Leder
“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, which encourages fellow bloggers to spotlight upcoming releases that we’re excited about. It is a meme that I have loved participating in for over a year now, but as Jill is no longer actively posting, from now on I’ll just be linking to Can’t Wait Wednesday, hosted by Tressa, which is a spinoff of the original WoW meme.

My selection for this week is LETTING GO OF GRAVITY by Meg Leder. This is one of those books that I was initially drawn to because of the gorgeous cover but then read the synopsis and knew I had to read the book. I love sibling stories and this one just sounds like it has the potential to be very moving.
LETTING GO OF GRAVITY by Meg Leder
Publication Date: July 17, 2018
From Goodreads:
Twins Parker and Charlie are polar opposites.
Where Charlie is fearless, Parker is careful.
Charlie is confident while Parker aims to please.
Charlie is outgoing and outspoken; Parker is introverted and reserved.
And of course, there’s the one other major difference: Charlie got leukemia. Parker didn’t.
But now that Charlie is officially in remission, life couldn’t be going better for Parker. She’s landed a prestigious summer internship at the hospital and is headed to Harvard in the fall to study pediatric oncology—which is why the anxiety she’s felt since her Harvard acceptance is so unsettling. And it doesn’t help that her relationship with Charlie has been on the rocks since his diagnosis.
Enter Finn, a boy who’s been leaving strange graffiti messages all over town. Parker can’t stop thinking about those messages, or about Finn, who makes her feel free for the first time: free to doubt, free to make mistakes, and free to confront the truth that Parker has been hiding from for a long time.
That she keeps trying to save Charlie, when the person who really needs saving is herself.

I’d love to hear what upcoming book releases you’re waiting on this Wednesday? Leave me your link in the comments below and I’ll stop by and check out your CWW selection for this week. 🙂
This book sounds like a tearjerker. Very much like my current read, You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone by Rachel Lynn Solomon
I do enjoy a good tearjerker so I’ll have to keep that title in mind 🙂
Oh gosh, this sounds heartbreaking!
I hit enter too soon — I wanted to add, I like the differences between Parker and Charlie, and I think they’ll make for great conflct. But of course, what is Parker hiding ?
Right? That’s what I want to know.
Yeah, this feels like a ‘keep the tissues handy’ read, lol.
New to me and going on my tbr. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome!
This sounds sweet and emotional and definitely like something I may want to check out as well. Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome!
I loved Leder’s Museum of Heartbreak so much! I happy danced when I saw this book announced, and like you, are very excited to read it.
Ooh, this reminds me that I haven’t read Museum of Heartbreak yet.
That book was so wonderful!!! I loved it!
Glad to hear that!
This book sounds fantastic! Check out Liane Moriarty books, one is about sisters that are triplets, we follow their lives and don’t realise how intertwined they are and not just in DNA.
Having a sister myself I too enjoy sister books.
Angelica @ Paperback Princess
I’ve read a couple of Liane’s books and really enjoyed them. I haven’t read the triplet one yet though so I’ll have to look for that one.
I love the sound of this one, and the twin connection!
That appealed to me as well 🙂
This sounds like it would be an emotional read but sooo good too. Great find.
Thanks!
Oh sounds intriguing! Its a new book for me, I’ll be checking it out! Thanks for sharing!
I don’t have WoW this week because I just started blogging after a hiatus, so its a comeback and reading slump tips post.
My New Post
Welcome back!
Ooh this does sound good. I like sibling stories as well. And what a simple, but beautiful cover.
I love the cover too!
Great pick! I haven’t heard about this book before but I adore the cover! The synopsis is intriguing as well! I’ll have to add it to my TBR! Have a great week!
Thanks, you too!
Ohhh! I’ve heard of this one! I really liked the synopsis. Nice pick! I tend to go for books with twins because I’m a twin mom… I think the stories are fascinating.
Lindsi @ Do You Dog-ear?
Twin books always intrigue me too, going back to when I was a kid and was obsessed with the Sweet Valley High books, lol.
The cover is stunning – no wonder you fell for it! I hope you enjoy it, Suzanne:)
Thanks, me too!
Oh I like that cover! I haven’t read many sibling stories actually…
Same here so I’m always happy when I find one that sounds this good.
Letting Go of Gravity sounds interesting. I enjoy stories about twins and this one sounds heartfelt.
