Top Ten Tuesday: 10 of My Favorite Bookish Quotes about Friendship

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.  Top Ten Tuesday has been one of my favorite memes ever since I started blogging, so huge thanks to Jana for taking over the hosting duties!

This week’s TTT topic is Favorite Book Quotes.  I have so many favorite quotes from books that it was impossible to narrow down to just ten favorites.  To help me whittle my list down though, I decided to tweak this week’s topic a bit and just focus on my favorite quotes from books about friends and friendship.

My best friends are so important to me –they’re like family, really.  And it’s not just about the good times we have together, which are of course amazing, but sometimes it’s more about the bad times and that they’re just always here for me, even when they’re hundreds (and in some cases, thousands) of miles away.  So, anytime I read a great quote about friends in the books I’m reading, the words just immediately resonate with me because they make me think about those I’m closest to and why I cherish their friendship so much.

Maybe if I had been as smart as you and narrowed it down, I may have been able to do this TTT. It’s amazing how much wisdom I glean from Winnie the Pooh looking at it now. So many gems in there!

Thanks! I think the Pooh one is probably my favorite. It’s funny how sometimes children’s stories resonate even more when we go back and re-read them as adults.
