Can’t Wait Wednesday – Spotlight on I HAVE LOST MY WAY by Gayle Forman

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, which encourages fellow bloggers to spotlight upcoming releases that we’re excited about.  It is a meme that I have  loved participating in for over a year now, but as Jill is no longer actively posting, from now on I’ll just be linking to Can’t Wait Wednesday, hosted by Tressa, which is a spinoff of the original WoW meme.

My selection for this week is I HAVE LOST MY WAY by Gayle Forman.  A book about friendship that is also set in New York City?  That feels like it just has my name written all over it!  I am also quite curious about the fact that the book covers only a single day but from three different points of view.

I HAVE LOST MY WAY by Gayle Forman

Publication Date:   April 1, 2018

From Goodreads:

A powerful display of empathy and friendship from the #1 New York Times Bestselling author of If I Stay.

Around the time that Freya loses her voice while recording her debut album, Harun is making plans to run away from home to find the boy that he loves, and Nathaniel is arriving in New York City after a family tragedy leaves him isolated on the outskirts of Washington state. After the three of them collide in Central Park, they slowly reveal the parts of their past that they haven’t been able to confront, and together, they find their way back to who they’re supposed to be.

Told over the course of a single day from three different perspectives, Gayle Forman’s newest novel about the power of friendship and being true to who you are is filled with the elegant prose that her fans have come to know and love.

I love Forman and her one day books. Stories of friendship are my second favorite, and the premise sounds very promising. I am waiting right there with you for this one.

I had no idea that the cover for this one was revealed already! I absolutely love Gayle Forman. This one sounds like a book that I am going to just love as well. I hope that we both enjoy it. 🙂

Gayle Forman is one of my favorite YA authors so I can’t wait to read this one. I’m excited about the New York City setting, and I’m curious about the one day timeline as well. Usually, books like that make me nervous (will they be well developed enough? Will the story feel complete?), but I’m sure Gayle will do a great job.

I still haven’t read anything by Gayle Forman, although her books seem like ones I would like! The fact that this book takes place over one day sounds interesting!
