HC “Heartless” Giveaway to Celebrate 500 followers on Twitter!

I don’t know about others but I’ve been in a funk ever since Election night and haven’t felt much like reading or blogging.  In an effort to get myself into a more positive frame of mind and because I really want to celebrate finally making it to the 500 follower mark on twitter (YAY!), I’ve decided to host my first-ever giveaway here on The Bookish Libra because if sharing book love doesn’t get me out of my funk, then nothing will, haha! 🙂

Heartless by Melissa Meyer is a book that I’ve been dying to read ever since I first heard about it months ago.  It finally came out on November 8th, and I immediately ordered myself a copy as a belated birthday gift.  I’ve already read several glowing reviews about it so I want to give away a copy to a fellow reader.

Here’s the Goodreads blurb for anyone who may be unfamiliar with the book:

“Long before she was the terror of Wonderland—the infamous Queen of Hearts—she was just a girl who wanted to fall in love.

Catherine may be one of the most desired girls in Wonderland, and a favorite of the unmarried King of Hearts, but her interests lie elsewhere. A talented baker, all she wants is to open a shop with her best friend. But according to her mother, such a goal is unthinkable for the young woman who could be the next queen.

Then Cath meets Jest, the handsome and mysterious court joker. For the first time, she feels the pull of true attraction. At the risk of offending the king and infuriating her parents, she and Jest enter into an intense, secret courtship. Cath is determined to define her own destiny and fall in love on her terms. But in a land thriving with magic, madness, and monsters, fate has other plans.

In her first stand-alone teen novel, the New York Times-bestselling author dazzles us with a prequel to Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.”

Can’t tell you how amazing it’d be to win this book! It’d be my belated birthday gift too, since I turned 25 on November 1st, and didn’t get any books as presents 🙁 Plus, I can’t remember the last time I was this excited about a release! I’m a big fan of Alice in Wonderland, and so many people rave about this book, I just… I JUST WANT TO HAVE IT AND DEVOUR IT ♥ ahaha So, thank you so much for this opportunity to win it, Suzanne! And congratulations on 500 followers!! Amazing!! 😀

PS: stay strong! I’m not from US, but ever since the election night, almost everybody in the world has been really down – not to mention shocked. I’ve read tons of reactions to the results, and boy, it was so sad, I just wanted to hug every one of you 🙁 No one knows what the future holds for your country – and the rest of the world, but you all have to be strong and keep fighting for your rights and everything that has been done. Never give up to that guy!
